Honest taxi driver Ariel Dalangin felt like a prince in “Cinderella” story after he returned six pairs of classy and expensive shoes of actress Ruffa Gutierrez which was left inside his taxi.
For his honesty, Ariel got a hug and kiss from the actress when they met on Radio DZMM’s “Aksyon Ngayon” program hosted by Kaye Dacer.
It was a show of deep gratitude for the kind act, the actress-beauty queen said on her Twitter account.
“Lorraine and Venice, this is a friendly hug, this is a friendly kiss,” she said to her two daughters while hugging and then kissing the cab driver on his cheek, according to an ABS-CBN report.
“Sana lahat ng mga taxi drivers kasing honest niya, na talagang nagsasauli,” she added.
Ruffa, according to ABS-CBN, also gave Dalangin money but the amount was not disclosed.
Ruffa said the six pairs of custom-made Allan Chan shoes from Hong Kong were left by his assistant Jimmy inside Dalangin’s cab. The shoes were worth US$4,000 or more than P170, 000 (about P28,500).
The beauty queen actress said as a woman and an artist, shoes are very important part of her well-being.
“I really invest in shoes and in what I wear,” she told the network.
Dalangin actually had no inkling the shoes were owned by the comely actress and television host.
He told the radio station he thought it was left inside his cab by another woman who was his passenger before Ruffa’s assistant hailed his taxi.
