MAKATI CITY —Former Tagaytay City mayor Francis Tolentino has assumed the chairmanship of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). “I have accepted the position with great hope of attaining a better quality of life in Metro Manila and making MMDA a model agency,” Tolentino said during simple turnover rites with former MMDA Chairman Oscar Inocentes held at the MMDA office in Makati City. Tolentino pledged to continue all the successes of the agency’s previous administrations and bring forth changes through a new dynamics that will involve active public participation.
He said that the mantra of his administration would be discipline with compassion, reiterating that human rights would not be compromised with the implementation of the agency’s various thrusts.
