Nora Aunor wants to sing again

Don’t look now but the superstar Nora Aunor is raring to sing again.
The former vendor who was catapulted to stardom for her golden voice as she won a national singing contest made known her wish, saying she misses singing.
She said she has been doing a lot of movies and now she wants to go back to her first love, which is singing.
Nora had earlier lost her singing voice after a botched operation in Japan.
But she slowly regained her voice, but not yet her singing, after another operation in another country.
“Ang dami ko ng ginawang movie (lately), eh. Gusto ko namang kumanta na talaga…ipagdasal natin,” said she in a recent interview as reported by Bhenj Agustin.
She said she will continue to undergo another surgery to completely regain her voice so she could resume her singing career.
Nora had recorded more than 50 albums that became timeless hits. Among them were “Isang Halik, Isang Tinik,” “Yesterday When I Was Young,” “Kahit Na Konting Awa.”
“Nahihirapan na din ako,” she admitted. “Kahit na sa shooting, sa dialogue, kapag sisigaw ako, nag-iiba yung boses ko, hindi ko maitaas. Na-fru-frustrate din ako kasi maski na ginagawa ko yung dapat kong gawin bilang artista, sa akin—pag naririnig kong sira yung boses ko at hindi ko nagugustuhan—ang laking diperensya, eh,” she said.
Nora said she had long wanted to have another surgery but things got in the way.
“Hindi natutuloy…di ako makaalis dahil hindi naman ako pinapayagan. So sana ngayon talaga…” she said.
She said she will lhold concerts in the country and abroad once she regains completely her golden voice.
Nora is cast in the movies “Padre de Familia” and “Whistleblower.”
Another movie, “Dementia,” was set to open in theaters nationwide last September 24.
The psychological thriller tells the story of a woman diagnosed with dementia and is brought by her family to her hometown in the hopes of jogging her memory. Instead, she starts seeing visions no one else sees.
Nora co-stars in the movie distributed by Regal Films with Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Bing Loyzaga, Yul Servo, Chynna Ortaleza, Althea Vega, Jeric Gonzales, Lou Veloso and Lui Manasala.
